From what I’ve seen, Real Estate WordPress Themes are not that sought after. Moreover,  if you need a free one, the options available are so basic, so simple, that your real estate agency would definitely not look professional.

Of course, there’s a reason for that, just as in every business: if you want quality, you’ll have to pay for it. Fortunately, when it comes to WordPress themes, prices are really accesible. Ok, they might not be cheap if you hire a webdesigner, but that’s what theme marketplaces are made for ;)

Today I want to share with you the latest version of Brian Gardner’s (Studiopress) Agent theme. The theme has reached version 3.0 and has grown up to be one of the best choices in the real estate field.

Here are some new features available in Agent 3.0:

New control panel

The control panel was rebuilt and now includes more options specifically adapted to the market.

Auto-resized thumbnails

Article thumbnails that show on the front page are now automatically resized, so you don’t have to worry about custom fields. You can also set the thumbnail size in the improved control panel.

About me widget

This widget can be easily displayed in your sidebar, and you can show more than one. This is cool, because a real estate agency is likely to have more than just one agent, so you could show short “about the agent” boxes right in your sidebar.

Localization support

Studiopress have started making their themes easy to localize, so you won’t need much tech know-how to creat a site in your own language. Agent 3.0 includes support for localization.

Header eNews and Updates

In previous versions of the Agent theme, you were required to use a text widget to display the Google/Feedburner eNews & Updates section. It wasn’t a very comfortable solution, but now the theme has a separate section in the control panel that lets you enable/disable it from within the dashboard. It also has a box to insert your Feed ID.

Here’s a screenshot of the control panel:

When you purchase it, you also get access to detailed theme tutorials, including limited customization techniques and support through the private forum. You will also have access to any future theme updates as well at no additional cost.

Last, I would like to ask you: what’s your favorite real estate wordpress theme ?
